Nuvem is seeking a strategic, client-facing healthcare professional to serve as Managing Director, Clinical Strategy & Provider Transformation. This role is ideal for individuals with deep expertise in outpatient and specialty pharmacy strategy—whether gained through pharmacy leadership, healthcare operations, or consulting work.
In this role, you will partner with prospective clients and internal teams to guide the design, implementation, and optimization of covered entity-owned pharmacy programs. You will play a critical role in helping provider organizations develop the business case, navigate operational complexity, and accelerate time to value—all while supporting compliance and patient access objectives.
Essential Job Functions
Strategic Client Consultation & Engagement
- Serve as a senior advisor to providers evaluating or expanding covered entity-owned outpatient/specialty pharmacy programs.
- Support pre-sales consultation efforts, including opportunity sizing, strategic roadmap development, and feasibility assessment.
- Collaborate with clients to prepare board-ready presentation materials and financial proformas to support internal approvals and budget planning.
- Attend committee, executive, or board meetings as needed to help articulate the business rationale, risk mitigation approach, and long-term value of the pharmacy strategy.
Operational & Regulatory Expertise
- Bring a strong understanding of pharmacy operations—including design, credentialing, workflow, staffing, and third-party contracting—regardless of whether gained through direct pharmacy management or strategic consulting.
- Stay current on the national 340B regulatory landscape and state-specific nuances to guide client decision-making.
- Translate complex regulatory, financial, and operational considerations into practical implementation guidance.
Internal Enablement & Cross-Functional Support
- Provide guidance and thought leadership to Nuvem’s sales, implementation, and client success teams regarding pharmacy startup requirements, compliance considerations, and service line optimization.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, legal, product, and operations to ensure our offerings remain clinically credible, financially sound, and aligned with client needs.
- Contribute to internal tools, templates, and strategic playbooks that accelerate provider transformation and enhance delivery quality.
Execution Support & Industry Representation
- Support post-sale client engagements, ensuring continuity from strategy through implementation, including validation of staffing plans, site readiness, and third-party integrations.
- Represent Nuvem at industry events, client roundtables, and professional forums as a thought leader in provider pharmacy strategy and transformation.
- Serve as an internal voice of the customer, sharing insights and trends to shape future service development and market messaging.

Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of pharmacy experience with direct operational, consulting, or combination of.
- Deep operational, clinical, or consulting experience related to outpatient or specialty pharmacy programs (experience may come from provider, consulting, vendor, or payer environments).
- Licensed Pharmacist preferred, but not required.
- Strong familiarity with 340B program regulations and operational implementation strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to build and present proformas and financial justifications to healthcare leadership teams.
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders across finance, operations, pharmacy, and compliance.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% to support client engagement and business development activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- PharmD, MBA, MPH, or other relevant advanced degree.
- Experience supporting safety-net providers such as FQHCs, Ryan White Clinics, or small-to-mid-size health systems.
- Prior experience in strategic advisory or transformation roles within healthcare services, consulting, or pharmacy management.
