coni + partner ag, a Geneva-based international bank client, seeks an experienced risk specialist for OpRisk processes in Private Banking. The role encompasses ICS/RCSA data analysis, risk framework assessment, and continuous improvement of risk documentation and controls.

The candidate should hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s in Finance or Economics, with experience in internal controls or process risk in banking, and fluency in English (German a plus). Swiss residence is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics.
• CIA or CPA certification would be an advantage.
• Experience in internal controls or process risk management at a bank, auditing or bank consultancy.
• Experience in adapting or implementing a regulatory risk framework.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Team-oriented with ability to interact across levels.
• Excellent communication skills and IT proficiency (MS Office).
• Fluent in English; German knowledge is a plus.
• Residence in Switzerland.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and analyse data related to the private bank's ICS, RCSA and risk controls.
• Assess adequacy and effectiveness of the operational risk framework.
• Improve documentation, processes, frameworks and risk identification.
• Collect internal and external loss data; run scenario analyses.
• Initiate risk reviews; coordinate adjustments; monitor implementation of measures.
• Develop ICs reporting framework for Legal & Compliance.
• Design and deliver ICs and RCSA training to raise risk awareness.
• Support Legal & Compliance, Internal Audit and supervisors.
• Engage in ongoing dialogue with the three lines of defence.

Analyst OpRisk Processes Private Banking

Your Tasks:

• Monitoring and analysis of data relating to the private bank’s internal control system (ICS), including the risk-based control approach and self-assessment systems (RCSA)
• Assessment of the adequacy and effectiveness of the operational risk framework
• Continuous optimisation of documentation, processes, frameworks and systems, as well as the identification, prioritisation and documentation of risks (e.g. in the areas of operations, IT/cyber, legal and compliance)
• Responsibility for the transparent collection of internal and external loss data, supplemented by ongoing scenario analyses
• Initiation of the relevant risk reviews, as well as the coordination and implementation of adjustments in response to changing risk scenarios, monitoring the implementation of measures and conducting control tests
• Further development of the ICs reporting framework for Legal & Compliance
• Design and delivery of ICs and RCSA training courses to promote risk awareness
• Providing support for specialist teams, the Legal & Compliance division, Internal Audit and the supervisory authorities
• Ongoing dialogue and meetings with the three lines of defence.

Your Profile:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics
• CIA or CPA certification would be an advantage
• Professional experience in the field of internal controls or process risk management at a bank, in auditing or in consultancy for banks
• Experience in adapting, changing or implementing a regulatory risk framework
• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail
• Team-oriented approach and a strong understanding of how to interact with people at various organisational levels
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, and to think in a structured and holistic manner
• Excellent communication skills
• IT skills and very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Fluent in English; knowledge of German would be an advantage
• Current place of residence in Switzerland.
