Qualifikationen

  • Minimum 3 years of AWS experience with services like EC2, S3, RDS.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP services and certifications are an advantage.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Terraform and CI/CD.

About the team you are joining

Reporting to the Tech Lead, Cloud Engineering, you will be responsible for IATA’s Cloud Infrastructure, IT Operations, and management of the providers that run AWS workloads on behalf of IATA. You will join a team of highly skilled engineers within IATA’s Information & Data (I&D) division. You will also need to ensure adherence to IATA’s Unified Infrastructure standards and suggest improvements to the overall DevSecOps lifecycle of the organization.

What your day would be like

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of IATA’s AWS and On-Premises infrastructures;
  • Monitoring and optimizing AWS performance and costs;
  • Addressing cloud engineering issues and tickets in IATA’s ITSM tool;
  • Troubleshooting OS and application problems;
  • Participating in projects and RFPs related to cloud infrastructure, hosting, or general IT operational needs;
  • Planning, implementing, and expanding the infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS);
  • Enhancing the foundations of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and delivering well-architected solutions based on business and technical requirements;
  • Managing relationships with Application Support Teams, including external vendors, for application onboarding and daily operations;
  • Managing full application stacks from OS to custom applications using Amazon cloud-based environments;
  • Implementing and maintaining automation tools such as Terraform, ArgoCD, Helm, UiPath, and others;
  • Managing CI/CD pipelines for server-based technologies;
  • Collaborating with engineering and architecture teams to design and implement scalable software services;
  • Following all established best practices and procedures as part of IATA’s Unified Infrastructure.

We would love to hear from you if

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, IS, or a related technical field (IT experience can substitute for a degree);
  • You have at least 3 years of experience with Amazon Web Services, including services like EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, EKS, etc. AWS Certification is a strong plus;
  • You have hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP;
  • You have experience with GCP services such as storage, Cloud APIs, VPC, etc., and GCP certification is an advantage;
  • You are experienced with DevOps tools like Terraform, Bitbucket, ArgoCD, Helm, etc.;
  • You have Linux OS and scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or similar;
  • You are capable of training others on technical and procedural topics;
  • You are a team player, demonstrating flexibility and motivation in a dynamic international environment.
