Job summary

Proxima Fusion is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical/Mechatronics engineer to drive the industrialisation of magnet production processes. You will design, test and scale production methods, working closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure quality, safety and performance.

You will lead development plans for new processes, perform prototyping and testing, and troubleshoot manufacturing challenges across welding, bonding, sealing and coating.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in mechanical, mechatronics or similar engineering field.
• Extensive experience in manufacturing process development and in-process testing.
• Hands-on production experience across welding, machining, assembly and bonding.

Responsibilities

• Define the requirements for industrialised manufacturing equipment and processes, to ensure performance, repeatability and safe operation.
• Contribute to the development of in process monitoring and non destructive testing.
• Help to determine and justify quality requirements to ensure smooth manufacturing while keeping the required product performance.
• Design jigs and tools for magnet industrialised production.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians across multiple teams.
