Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of post-graduate experience in disaster risk financing, parametric insurance, or climate risk management.
• Experience with sovereign / macro risk financing instruments and insurance industry players (insurers, reinsurers and brokers).
• Existing strong networks with key institutions in climate and disaster risk financing and insurance (CDRFI).
• Experience working with UN organizations is an asset.

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain partnerships with macro insurance stakeholders based in London.
• Engage in strategic discussions to mobilize resources for DRF portfolio and emergency preparedness.
• Represent WFP in UN and multilateral bodies and inform stakeholders.
• Identify funding opportunities and prepare proposals for DRF programmes.
• Support design and update of DRF architecture and risk transfer parameters.
• Provide capacity strengthening and training on DRF to staff at HQ and CO levels.
• Lead research on risk layering and early action within macro insurance.
• Oversee DRF implementation and expansion to new countries or hazards.
• Conduct field visits to strengthen WFP and governments' response capacities.
