• Advanced degree in economics or related field required.
• Seven years of progressive experience in economic research, analysis, policy formulation, or application of economic principles in international development.
• Desirable experience in disaster risk reduction financing and working with international development institutions.

• Monitor economic developments and identify emerging issues for the UN.
• Design and conduct economic development studies and draft policy recommendations.
• Coordinate financing for disaster risk reduction initiatives and engage with the private sector.
• Prepare analyses, training, and inputs for senior staff and intergovernmental bodies.
• Represent the organizational unit at international meetings and support UN country teams.
