ITech Consult is seeking a Logistics Specialist (Global Clinical Distribution) in Kaiseraugst, Basel region, to manage clinical shipments, regulatory documents, and stakeholder coordination in a global pharma context.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational order processing and clinical shipments (including IMP) and related drop shipments when applicable.
• Ensure compliance with country-specific documents/licenses and GDP requirements.
• Monitor shipments for on-time delivery and address potential disruptions proactively.
• Maintain country-specific regulatory requirements and keep them up to date.
• Serve as main contact for stakeholders on shipping and logistics matters.
• Collaborate with site logistics teams including warehouse, transportation and customs management.
• Participate in projects and initiatives after initial time in the role.

Project: For our customer a big pharmaceutical company in Basel we are looking for a Logistics Specialist (Global Clinical Distribution) (m/f/d).

The perfect candidate:

We are seeking a professional with a solid background in clinical distribution, logistics, freight forwarding, and warehouse management within a global environment. Fluency in both English and German, with strong business and industry-specific vocabulary, is essential.

Should an experienced candidate not be available, we are equally open to motivated junior candidates or recent graduates who demonstrate strong learning agility, high potential, and the ability to be onboarded quickly.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Operational order management and handling of clinical supply shipments (incl. IMP), incl. drop shipments were applicable
• Responsible to manage all relevant documents/licenses considering country specific requirements
• Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery to proactively address potential challenges and interruptions
• Responsible for managing and keeping country specific requirements and keeping them up to date
• Acts as the main contact for stakeholders and partners on all shipping and logistics related questions and activities
• Closely collaborates with the various site logistics teams, incl. warehouse (KAU and SSF), transportation and customs management
• Involvement in projects and initiatives after relevant time spent in the role

Must Haves

• Education & Background:
• Degree / Vocational Training: Completed degree or apprenticeship.
• Field of Study: Mandatory background in (Clinical) Supply Chain, Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or related fields.
• Alternative Backgrounds: Degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, etc., are accepted only if subsequent work experience in Supply Chain / Logistics is clearly demonstrated.
• Note: Profiles without relevant experience in the required domain will not be considered.
• Work Experience & Compliance:
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience.
• Regulatory: GDP (Good Distribution Practice) experience is strictly required (GMP is a plus).
• IT Skills & Tools:
• ERP Systems: SAP knowledge is nice-to-have, but experience with alternative domain‑specific ERP/Logistics tools is accepted.
• Office Applications: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace is mandatory.
• Language Proficiency:
• German & English: Business-fluent (proficient with industry‑specific vocabulary).

• Mindset & Drive: Strong sense of urgency, proactive mindset, and ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
• System Affinity: High affinity for IT systems/ERP, with hands‑on experience in SAP considered a strong plus
