Zusammenfassung

Swisslinx is supporting an international organisation based in Basel seeking an experienced Librarian / Information Manager to transform its library into a modern, AI-enabled knowledge centre. You will deliver literature searching, research support and curate information resources while developing metadata and library systems.

The role combines traditional library services with digital innovation, knowledge management and AI-enabled service development, with 50% home-working and 20 days remote

Qualifikationen

• Approximately 3–5 years’ experience in a professional library, research library or information management environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Library & Information Science or related discipline.
• Experience delivering literature searching, research support or reference services.
• Practical experience administering library systems and digital information platforms.
• Experience with metadata standards, taxonomies and controlled vocabularies.
• Exposure to digital transformation, AI implementation, metadata remediation or library systems projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently.
• Ideally experience in an economic research institute or central bank context.

Description

Swisslinx is supporting an international organisation based in Basel who are seeking an experienced Librarian / Information Manager to support the transformation of its library into a modern, AI-enabled knowledge centre.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of research, libraries, knowledge management and emerging technologies.

Working within a small Information Governance & Management team, you'll play a key role in enabling researchers and subject matter experts to discover, access and make effective use of high-quality information resources. This role combines traditional library services with digital innovation, information management and AI-enabled service development.

You’ll be an experienced library or information professional who enjoys combining excellent customer service with technology and innovation.

The following skills are mandatory:

• Approximately 3–5 years’ experience working independently in a professional library, research library or information management environment.


• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Library & Information Science, Information Management or a related discipline.


• Experience delivering literature searching, research support or reference services.


• Practical experience administering library systems and digital information platforms.


• Experience with metadata standards, taxonomies and controlled vocabularies.


• Exposure to digital transformation, AI implementation, metadata remediation or library systems projects.


• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.


• The ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently.


• Ideally experience in a central bank or economic research institute, or a strong interest in economics.
