Laine is an AI platform built for the full legal lifecycle — drafting, reviewing, negotiating, signing — and the infrastructure that lets every lawyer, regardless of firm size, work at the frontier of the profession.

We are looking for a Legal Engineer who is first and foremost a lawyer — but one who is ready to use that expertise differently.

The role

This is a sales‑adjacent role — your job is to walk into a room of senior lawyers, demonstrate that you understand their work better than any salesperson could, and convert that credibility into a decision to adopt Laine. You will work alongside our commercial team on every deal where legal expertise is what tips the balance.

The lawyers you work with are not just evaluating software — they are deciding how AI fits into the way they practice. You are the person who makes that answer clear.

You will also be the person who shapes how the product evolves — translating what you see in client conversations into concrete input that directly informs our roadmap. When something doesn’t work the way a lawyer needs it to, you are the one who defines what “better” looks like.

What you will do

• Own the “legal win” in client conversations — demos, pilots, and onboarding where your expertise does the convincing that a sales pitch cannot
• Build credibility with partners and senior lawyers through deep product and legal knowledge
• Define product improvements based on what you observe in client workflows — a direct line into how Laine is built, not a feedback inbox
• Help legal professionals adapt their workflows to a new standard of practice
• Collaborate with sales and product on go‑to‑market in Switzerland and beyond

Who you are

• A qualified lawyer with 3–7 years of practice experience
• Your legal background is not something you are leaving behind — it is the core of this role. Every room you walk into depends on it
• A natural communicator — comfortable presenting, explaining, and persuading at a senior level
• Fluent in English; French or German is a strong asset (both even better)
• Based in or willing to commute to Geneva
