As AI and automation reshape enterprise operations, including legal departments, we are looking for a tech-native, forward-thinking legal professional to guide our growth. You will work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and law, solving real business challenges with today’s tools while helping define best practices for responsible AI deployment and data/privacy governance.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, review and negotiate agreements in a digital environment with and for the respective internal clients (in particular in the fields of software licensing, services, suppliers, data protection/privacy, employment, corporate, and intellectual property law)
- Support the Legal Team in all legal, data protection/privacy, compliance, organizational, and administrative issues
- Independently manage complex international data protection/privacy (DPO, ROPA experience) and compliance matters (monitoring and reviewing) and lead in these fields, anticipating issues before they elevate
- Create, update and implement practical policies, playbooks, processes and guidelines as required (directives, internal and external regulations, etc.)
- Partner with and provide clear, practical advice to our cross-functional teams including management (notably Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance) and all Flowable companies from Switzerland and abroad
- Manage corporate housekeeping, the insurance portfolio and contact with authorities in Switzerland and abroad
Qualifications:
- Completed Law Degree (Master of Law or Swiss law diploma)
- Solid knowledge in commercial/contract, data protection/privacy, and IT law
- Proven experience in compliance (ideally in the IT field re. GDPR, DORA, AI Act, NIS 2 etc.)
- Minimum 6 years of in-house or law firm experience
- Affinity for IT and Processes and working with AI
- Strong project management skills, analytical, solution-oriented and motivated by a fast-paced and multicultural environment
- High ability to work in a team and a pronounced service orientation
- Entrepreneurial thinking combined with pragmatism and a hands-on mentality
- Native in German, business fluent in English, further language skills are an asset (knowledge of Spanish is an advantage)
- Based in Switzerland (Swiss German /Zurich area preferred), ability to work across European and US time zones with 2-3 days office presence per week
