Zusammenfassung

SPhotonix Inc is hiring a visionary Software Architect to transform our research-grade environment into a robust, industrial-scale platform. You will lead architecture for hardware control equipment and scientific instrument software, transitioning from a Python-heavy stack to modular C++/Rust/C production.

Responsibilities include integrating Aerotech, NI, and Zeiss ecosystems, developing recipe-driven control, and mentoring an on-site engineering team while setting testing and telemetry

Qualifikationen

  • 6+ years building software for complex physical systems.
  • Expert-level Python with proficiency in C++, Rust or C.
  • Hardware fluency: multi-device synchronization and machine state machines.
  • Hands-on with vendor SDKs/APIs for controllers, cameras, signal generators.
  • Experience establishing engineering processes (testing, telemetry, CI/CD).
  • Masters or PhD in CS, Electronics, Robotics or related field.

Aufgaben

  • Architect control architecture across optical machine platforms (HAL, control, data, API).
  • Integrate Aerotech, NI, Zeiss hardware and ensure multi-device synchronization.
  • Refactor Python code into high-performance C++/Rust/C for production.
  • Develop laser-machining software with calibration, alignment and state models.
  • Set engineering standards for testing, telemetry, FPGA/embedded work; mentor on-site team.
