About The Role

We are seeking several dynamic Lead Product Engineers/Senior Software Engineers to spearhead the technical execution of various critical, fast-paced Proof of Concept (POC) through to the end of the year. We are looking for a true technical leader - not just a builder who takes tickets and writes code. You must have a strong "product brain" and a deep understanding of business objectives, allowing you to shape "what" we are building just as much as "how" we build it. In this role, you will lead a development team, partner closely with our Technical Project Manager and Product Head, and act as a primary technical face to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Architect, guide, and drive the hands-on development of the POC. Build, lead and mentor a team of developers, setting high standards for code quality and engineering best practices.
• Product Engineering: Act as a bridge between business requirements and technical execution. Proactively challenge assumptions, suggest product improvements, and ensure the technology solves the core business problem.
• Client Engagement: Confidently lead technical discussions with external clients and internal stakeholders. Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language and gather actionable requirements.
• Strategic Execution: Work in lockstep with the Technical Project Manager to ensure milestones are hit. Quickly pivot architecture or development strategies when business needs evolve.
• End-to-End Ownership: Take full accountability for the technical delivery of the project, from initial system design through to a successful POC deployment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience: Proven track record as a Senior Software Engineer, Tech Lead, or Staff Engineer with hands-on experience designing and building scalable applications.
• Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and unblocking engineering teams to deliver under tight deadlines.
• Client-Facing Skills: Strong executive presence and communication skills. You must be comfortable presenting to clients, answering technical questions on the spot, and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Product Acumen: A deep understanding of product development lifecycles. You care deeply about the user experience and business impact, not just the underlying code.
• Domain Knowledge: Background in the Finance or Technology sectors, with an understanding of complex business logic.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

• Industry Expertise: Direct experience in Banking, Consumer Lending, or Wealth Management is highly advantageous.
• Consulting Background: Previous experience in a client‑facing technology consulting role
• Language Skills: Proficiency in German is a bonus, though English is the only strict requirement.

Engagement Details

This position is available as either a temporary 3-month contract (to successfully deliver the current POC by the end of the year) or as a full-time role. We are looking to kick off immediately.
