Lightium AG is seeking a Photonics System Architect to lead system-level design for its cutting-edge TFLN PIC platform. You will define architectures, manage requirements, and drive reference designs from concept to layout, collaborating with customers and partners globally.

The role requires an advanced degree and 5+ years in RF/optical PIC design, with experience in TFLN and related photonics platforms. Fluency in English is essential; travel to customers is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced degree in Communications, Integrated Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 5+ years of RF and optical PIC system design experience including ISO-compliant requirements management.
• Experience with TFLN, silicon photonics, SiN, InP or related platforms is mandatory.

Aufgaben

• Design optical on-chip communication systems based on customer requirements across coherent, IMDD, and related modalities.
• Drive system-level specs and block-level specifications, guiding schematic and layout work.
• Manage requirements, benchmarks, and tool implementations; train colleagues in system engineering practices.
• Collaborate with R&D, design, testing, and external partners; travel to customers as needed.
• Document findings and establish standard operating procedures.
