Zusammenfassung

On AG in Zürich seeks a Lead Footwear Tooling Engineer to own bottom unit development for high-performance products. You will guide materials, mold construction and manufacturing decisions, working with On Labs in Zürich and the Vietnam tooling team.

You will oversee design reviews, prototyping, and process improvements to optimize manufacturability, durability, and cost. Travel to Asia is required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Eng., Industrial Design, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years footwear engineering experience with development and production.
• Strong knowledge of plastics injection molding and materials.
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD and ability to assess manufacturability.
• Proficient in Rhino; experience with rapid prototyping.
• Excellent time management and cross-functional collaboration; travel to Asia required.

Aufgaben

• Lead bottom unit development for On’s performance products.
• Provide solutions to design and manufacturing constraints.
• Evaluate designs for manufacturability and durability via CAD and prototypes.
• Ensure alignment with specs and capabilities.
• Advise on molding cost, design, and capabilities.
• Collaborate with Asia and tooling teams on revisions.
• Improve workflows to maximize efficiency and testing.
