Zusammenfassung

On's Zurich hub seeks a Senior Lead of Footwear Tooling Engineering to define the strategic vision and direct the tooling program for bottom units of our performance footwear. You will lead a team of tooling engineers, coordinate with On Labs in Zurich and Asia partners, and drive innovative materials, mold construction, and manufacturing capabilities.

You will steer global process improvements, budget management, and long-term capability building for tooling.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of progressive experience in footwear engineering, focused on tooling, bottom unit development, and production.
• Expert knowledge of footwear materials, mold construction, and manufacturing processes.
• Deep mastery of plastics injection molding principles, structural design constraints, and tooling cost analysis.
• Strong CAD background and ability to guide 2D/3D design and prototyping workflows.

Aufgaben

• Direct the bottom unit tooling strategy and engineering execution.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Design, Development, and Product Management.
• Drive workflow and process improvements to accelerate prototyping and testing.
• Guide integration of next-generation midsole tooling components with manufacturing teams.
• Manage budgets and build long-term tooling capabilities across the company.
• Ensure manufacturability and durability standards across CAD models and prototypes.
