Job summary

On seeks a hands-on engineer to join the LightSpray production team in Zürich. You will bridge engineering and live operations, deploying and scaling a disruptive production system on the factory floor.

You will own the deployment lifecycle, lead FAT/SAT, and ensure repeatability and quality through standardized work, SPC/PFMEA, and proactive maintenance planning. Travel ~30% to support global rollout.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a completed technical apprenticeship with significant, high-level work experience.
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally from injection moulding or thermoplastic processing.
Experience in machine deployment and FAT/SAT.
Willingness to travel approx. 30%.

Responsibilities

Commercialization & Product Launch Support - lead for bringing new products to life on the factory floor with SOPs and standards for high‑volume manufacturing.
Machine Deployment & Site Integration - lead FAT and SAT for new machine arrivals with strict acceptance criteria.
System Evolvement & Fleet Stability - manage lifecycle of the LightSpray fleet and coordinate updates with minimal downtime.
Process Industrialization & Quality Control - troubleshoot and improve processes; establish standardized work and control plans (SPC/PFMEA).
Lifecycle Maintenance & Spare Parts Strategy - own parts management and maintenance SOPs to ensure readiness.
