Finders SA is seeking an experienced Lead Auditor in Basel to independently lead end-to-end audits across banking activities, with potential specialization in Operations, Risk, Banking Products, Portfolio Management, Credit, Payments, Treasury or Trading.

You will work with senior stakeholders, plan, execute and report audits, delivering practical recommendations to strengthen governance and risk management, with international travel as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Five or more years' experience in banking internal audit or external audit (Big Four or similar).
• Degree in Banking, Finance, Economics or Business or equivalent banking qualification.
• Professional qualification such as CIA or CPA.
• Experience in Operations, Risk, Banking Products, Portfolio Management, Credit, Payments, Treasury or Trading.
• Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Position:

As Lead Auditor, you will independently lead and deliver end-to-end audits across a broad range of banking activities. Depending on your background and expertise, you may specialise in areas such as Operations, Risk, Banking Products, Portfolio Management, Credit, Payments, Treasury or Trading.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will plan, execute and report on audits while providing practical recommendations that strengthen governance, controls and risk management. Key Responsibilities, to include but not limited to:

• Lead the planning, execution and reporting of end-to-end internal audits
• Prepare clear, concise and high-quality audit reports for senior management
• Act as a trusted advisor and sparring partner to business leaders and stakeholders
• Monitor and validate the implementation of agreed audit actions
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, Internal Audit leadership and governance committees
• Participate in special investigations, thematic reviews and strategic audit projects
• Provide subject matter expertise within your area of banking specialisation
• Contribute to the continuous development of the internal audit function and audit methodology

Profile:

• A degree in Banking, Finance, Economics or Business, or a recognised banking qualification
• A professional qualification such as CIA, CPA or an equivalent certification
• Approximately five or more years' experience within banking internal audit or banking external audit (Big Four or similar), ideally with experience leading audit engagements
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: Operations, Risk, Banking Products, Portfolio Management, Credit, Payments, Treasury or Trading
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• A proactive, hands-on approach with high levels of integrity and accountability
• Excellent written and spoken English, including the ability to produce high-quality audit reports
• German, French or Spanish language skills would be advantageous but are not essential
• Strong Microsoft Office skills; experience with Avaloq would be beneficial
• Comfortable with international travel as part of the role; otherwise working on-site in Basel (no home office)
• Eligible to work in Switzerland (Swiss/EU passport or valid Swiss work permit)
