As a Senior Kubernetes Engineer you will play a critical role in scaling, securing, and maintaining our enterprise-grade container orchestration platforms. You will bridge the gap between development and operations by implementing robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC), continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and configuration management tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Container Orchestration: Design, deploy, configure, and manage large-scale production Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Architect and maintain scalable infrastructure using Terraform across hybrid or cloud environments.
- Automation & Configuration: Write clean, modular, and reusable Ansible playbooks to automate system configuration, application deployment, and routine operational tasks.
- CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Build, optimize, and maintain robust, secure, and efficient build/test/release pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
- Platform Reliability: Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues across the Kubernetes ecosystem, system infrastructure, and deployment pipelines.
- Mentorship & Collaboration: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, enforcing best practices in Git workflows and DevOps methodologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 8+ years of core, relevant experience in DevOps engineering and production Kubernetes administration.
- Orchestration: Deep, hands-on expertise in Kubernetes (including cluster architecture, networking, security policies, ingress controllers, and storage).
- Automation: Strong proficiency in Ansible for configuration management and application deployment.
- Provisioning: Mastery of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and state management.
- Version Control & CI/CD: Advanced knowledge of Git workflows and comprehensive experience building pipelines in GitLab.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems, networking, and container environments.
Preferred / Added Advantages
- Hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting Middleware technologies (e.g., WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat, MQ, or similar).
- Strong foundational expertise in Unix or Linux platform administration, including shell scripting (Bash), performance tuning, and system security.
- Experience working within banking, fintech, or highly regulated financial enterprise environments.
Work Mode: 5 Days from office (for initial 3months) later Hybrid- 3 Days from office.
