Job summary

CERN seeks a Storage Engineer to evolve the EOS storage platform within the IT Storage and Data Management Group in Geneva. You will contribute to operating large-scale storage services and collaborating with developers and service managers to improve automation, observability, reliability and performance.

The role combines hands-on operations with development and testing across software, hardware and network layers to support CERN's scientific programs and worldwide researchers.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain EOS large-scale distributed storage services supporting CERN's scientific programmes.
• Integrate, troubleshoot and optimise distributed storage systems at exabyte scale across software, hardware and network layers.
• Contribute to the development, testing, deployment and automation of EOS.
