Lonza Visp urgently seeks a biopharmaceutical production operator on a 6-month contract to execute daily shop-floor tasks including bioreactor handling and HPLC screening in strict cGMP compliance.

The role is fully site-based with an 8-person shift team operating on a 4-shift rotation, and the ideal candidate has relevant education and hands-on manufacturing experience, with fluent English and basic German considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Completed chemical or biopharmaceutical education (or equivalent technical diploma).
• Hands-on professional experience in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing as an operator or production specialist.
• GMP/GDP regulated environments experience and biosafety cabinets familiarity.
• Knowledge of MES Syncade, LIMS or DeltaV is an advantage.
• Willingness to work in a flexible 4-shift rotation schedule.
• Fluent English; basic German is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform daily shop-floor biopharmaceutical production tasks including bioreactor handling, single-use equipment execution, and HPLC screening in compliance with cGMP quality requirements.
• Carry out accurate batch recording, routine calculations, equipment calibration (scales, pH meters), and sampling procedures.
• Assist in identifying, interpreting, and troubleshooting process deviations to maintain production efficiency and safety.
• Support maintenance routines, housekeeping, media preparation, and introduction of new production projects to the unit.
• Work collaboratively within an 8-person shift team operating on a 4-shift model.
• Contribute to training and onboarding new team members as operational needs evolve.
