Zusammenfassung

Pictet & Cie Banquiers is seeking a Technical Architect for the Fees platform to own the technical vision and architecture. You will guide decisions, coach engineers, and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions aligned with business goals and the Custody & Trading strategy.

You will modernise the platform, establish a new engineering capability, and lead architecture discussions across teams in Switzerland and Portugal. Fluency in French optional; English advanced preferred.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years as Technical Lead/Architect or senior Java engineer.
• Strong Fees domain experience: Fees, Billing, Commission, Revenue management.
• Financial services domain experience in Banking, Wealth Management or Asset Management.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and API-based architectures.
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Technical Architect for the Fees product at Pictet & Cie Banquiers, you will own the technical vision and architecture of a strategic platform supporting fee calculation, commission management and billing activities.

You will play a central role in the modernisation of the platform and in the establishment of a new engineering capability. Acting as the technical reference for the product, you will guide architecture decisions, coach engineers and ensure the delivery of scalable, resilient and maintainable solutions aligned with business objectives and the Custody & Trading technology strategy.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS — MUST INCLUDE IN CV

• Minimum 8 years experience as Java Technical Lead, Technical Architect or Senior Java Software Engineer — Must be clearly mentioned in CV
• Strong experience with Fee-Products Domain — Fees, Billing, Commission, Charges, Revenue Management or similar platform exposure — Must be clearly mentioned in CV
• Financial Services domain experience — Banking, Wealth Management and/or Asset Management — Must be clearly mentioned in CV
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and API-based architectures — Must be clearly mentioned in CV
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases — Must be clearly mentioned in CV

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• At least 8 years experience as Technical Lead, Technical Architect or Senior Software Engineer
• Strong experience with Java, Spring and API-based architectures
• Experience with Agile delivery methods — Scrum
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring capabilities
• Good knowledge of CI/CD, Git, Maven and modern software engineering practices
• Preferred — Kubernetes, Docker and container-based deployments
• Preferred — Kafka, MQSeries or equivalent messaging technologies
• Proven experience designing and evolving enterprise-grade software architectures
• Experience working in complex and business-critical environments, ideally in financial services
• Strong analytical skills, autonomy and ownership mindset
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify technical risks, dependencies and architectural improvement opportunities
• Drive platform modernisation, technical debt reduction and continuous improvement
• Promote DevOps practices, CI/CD adoption and software industrialisation
• Provide Tier 3 support for complex production incidents and lead technical root cause analysis
• Ensure security, resiliency and operational readiness embedded in technical solutions
• Produce and maintain architecture documentation, technical roadmaps and design standards
