OWT is a strategy and technology consulting firm headquartered in Geneva. We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to lead development for large enterprises in our Geneva office.

You will design, build, and support web platforms, collaborating with PMs, team leads, designers and engineers. Expect a strong focus on Java, Spring, modern cloud and AI-enabled solutions, with mentoring duties and an emphasis on DevSecOps.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Java development experience.
• Strong expertise in Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security).
• Knowledge of frontend technologies (React or equivalent).
• Genuine passion for AI with hands-on experimentation across LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Comfortable with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
• Experience with cloud solutions (Azure, AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Fluency in French and English (C1). German is a plus.

We are strengthening our team of experts and looking for a passionate Senior Developer to drive transformation across leading Swiss organizations, based in our Geneva office.

Job Description:

Open Web Technology has an immediate opening for a Senior Java Developer in Geneva with a minimum of 5 years of development experience.

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be working with our Project Managers, Technical Team Leads, Designers, and Engineers to conceive, build and support website and collaboration platforms for large enterprises.

Your mission:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex applications and systems, leveraging Claude Code and modern engineering best practices
• Contribute to architectural decisions by proposing innovative technical solutions
• Work in an agile environment and apply DevSecOps best practices
• Support the Technical Team Lead in code reviews and the writing of technical specifications
• Mentor Junior Developers and share best practices

Your qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Java development
• Strong expertise in Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security)
• Knowledge of frontend technologies (React or equivalent)
• Genuine passion for AI with hands-on experimentation across LLMs and strong familiarity with prompt engineering, agent design — eager to bring this energy into client projects
• Comfortable with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools
• Experience with cloud solutions (Azure, AWS…) and/or use containerization concepts with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies
• Fluency in French and English (minimum C1 level); German is a plus
