Job summary

Open Web Technology in Geneva seeks a Senior Java Developer to drive transformation across leading Swiss organizations, based in our Geneva office.

You will design, build and support website and collaboration platforms for large enterprises, working with project managers, team leads, designers and engineers.

The role requires 5+ years in Java, strong Spring and frontend experience, cloud and DevSecOps skills, and fluent French and English; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Java development experience.
• Strong expertise in Spring (Boot, Data, Security).
• Frontend experience with React or equivalent.
• Genuine passion for AI with hands-on experimentation across LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Proficient in DevOps practices and CI/CD tools.
• Experience with cloud solutions (Azure/AWS) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Fluency in French and English (German a plus).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex applications and systems leveraging Claude Code and modern engineering practices.
• Contribute to architectural decisions by proposing innovative technical solutions.
• Work in an agile environment and apply DevSecOps best practices.
• Support the Technical Team Lead in code reviews and writing of technical specifications.
• Mentor Junior Developers and share best practices.

Job Description

Open Web Technology has an immediate opening for a Senior Java Developer in Geneva with a minimum of 5 years of development experience.

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be working with our Project Managers, Technical Team Leads, Designers, and Engineers to conceive, build and support website and collaboration platforms for large enterprises.

Your mission

• Design, develop, and maintain complex applications and systems, leveraging Claude Code and modern engineering best practices
• Contribute to architectural decisions by proposing innovative technical solutions
• Work in an agile environment and apply DevSecOps best practices

Your qualifications

• Fluency in French and English (minimum C1 level); German is a plus
