Celonic Group in Basel seeks a proactive IT Support & System Administrator to strengthen our IT infrastructure and provide high-quality user support across laboratories and offices.

You will manage on-premise and cloud environments, ensure security best practices, maintain documentation, and drive IT projects. Fluency in German and English, a degree or equivalent experience, and hands-on virtualization/cloud experience are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on IT support and/or system administration.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and ticketing systems.
• Experience with virtualization and cloud technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, combined with a strong team-oriented mindset.
• Interest in continuous improvement and optimizing IT processes.
• Experience with ITIL or structured IT support processes is an advantage.

• Provide timely and effective technical support to users across multiple locations.
• Implement and maintain IT security best practices, including patch management, access controls, and backup solutions.
• Administer and maintain virtualization environments (e.g. VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g. Azure/AWS).
• Manage identity and access management processes, authentication, group policies, and onboarding/offboarding activities.
• Troubleshoot complex IT issues and continuously improve systems and processes.
• Maintain accurate system and technical documentation.
• Plan and implement IT projects, system upgrades, and migrations.

The Position

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support & System Administrator to strengthen our IT infrastructure and provide high-quality technical support to our employees. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring secure and efficient IT systems that enable seamless business operations across the organization.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level IT support to users in different environments, including laboratories and offices, in accordance with our ticketing system and support processes
• Maintain, manage, monitor, and optimize server, network, and endpoint infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments
• Provide timely and effective technical support to users across multiple locations
• Implement and maintain IT security best practices, including patch management, access controls, and backup solutions
• Administer and maintain virtualization environments (e.g. VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g. Azure/AWS), where applicable
• Manage identity and access management processes, authentication, group policies, and IT-related onboarding and offboarding activities
• Troubleshoot complex IT issues and contribute to continuous improvements of systems and processes
