Job summary

LGT Capital Partners AG in Pfaeffikon, Switzerland, seeks a Security Engineer to design, implement and operate security across on‑premises and cloud environments, aligning with policy and risk requirements.

You will collaborate with the SOC, CSIRT and cross‑functional teams using Microsoft security tools (AD/Entra ID, Defender suites, Sentinel) and automation (PowerShell/Python) to detect threats and streamline remediation, with flexible work options.

Qualifications

• Understanding of modern security principles and Zero Trust concepts.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies including AD, Entra ID, GPO, CA and Identity Protection.
• Experience with Microsoft Cloud Security Solutions and Defender suite.
• Hands‑on experience deploying Microsoft Sentinel in enterprise environments.
• Strong KQL knowledge for threat hunting and log analysis.
• Experience integrating data sources via native/3rd party connectors and ASIM normalization.
• Cost optimization knowledge for logs and analytics.
• Experience collaborating with Cloud/DevOps/Endpoint teams to triage and remediate findings.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning and remediation processes.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and Python.
• Excellent problem solving and stakeholder interfacing.
• Judgment, urgency, ethics and compliance focus.

Responsibilities

• Research, design and implement security solutions for on‑premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure security is integrated in evaluation, deployment and configuration of hardware, software and cloud services.
• Define system security requirements in line with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develop technical solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities and automate security processes.
• Operate and improve vulnerability management, prioritization and remediation coordination.
• Collaborate with SOC to enhance detection use cases and incident workflows.
• Assist in responding to security incidents, pen tests, red‑team exercises and audits.
• Analyze infrastructure, cloud and security logs to identify trends and incidents.
• Update cyber security policies, architectures, standards and guidelines.
• Act as SME within CSIRT or Security Team.
• Take over service ownership of security products (endpoint/identity security).
• Prepare clear and concise technical documentation.
