Your Responsibility
The UCC IT Asset Manager (ITAM) provides expertise on the IT Asset Management lifecycle, focusing on Software Asset Management. The role involves processing software requests, conducting license pooling and checks, and monitoring the deployment and retirement of IT assets (hardware and software). The ITAM analyzes large volumes of software entitlements in relation to deployment data, supports IT and procurement teams in building licensing models, and optimizes license usage based on key drivers such as transactions, cards, or users. Additionally, the IT Asset Manager continuously improves the IT asset management process, especially for software, starting with a gap analysis and leading the implementation of improvements and new tools.

Your Role

• Understand and apply key IT asset management concepts, with a focus on software management.
• Support procurement, develop licensing models, negotiate software contracts, and perform IT asset management tasks during procurement, operation, and retirement to optimize IT spending.
• Manage internal and external software audits to ensure compliance and optimization.
• Ensure accurate asset reporting, create dashboards for IT and Controlling, and ensure compliance with procurement, security, and risk procedures.
• Provide administrative support related to IT Asset Management as needed.
• Lead process gap analyses and oversee the implementation of improved processes.
• Maintain excellent customer service and foster teamwork across the organization.

Your Expertise

• Experience as an IT Asset Manager or similar role with proficiency in enterprise software asset management tools.
• Proven success in designing and implementing robust IT (Software) Asset Management processes.
• Ability to compile data and metrics for data-driven decision-making.
• Knowledge of SAM tools such as Flexera, ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT or Business Management.
