Zusammenfassung

CERN in Geneva is offering a challenging role coordinating the ISOLDE Offline Facilities upgrade. You will work with engineers and physicists to ensure reliable infrastructure for future radioactive ion beam experiments.

The position requires experience in engineering projects, accelerator technologies and instrumentations, with emphasis on collaboration, safety and documentation. Fluency in English and willingness to learn French are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in multidisciplinary engineering projects and accelerator technologies.
• Experience with beam production or beam diagnostics is valuable.
• Interest in project management and technical coordination is required.
• Ability to understand complex technical systems across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Knowledge of scientific instrumentation, vacuum, electrical systems or industrial controls is advantageous.
• Experience from studies or research in experimental physics or accelerator physics is beneficial.

Aufgaben

• Lead the technical coordination and day-to-day management of the ISOLDE Offline Facilities consolidation project.
• Coordinate activities between internal technical services and teams.
• Monitor schedules, interfaces, procurement and installation planning.
• Organise technical meetings and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with CERN safety regulations.
• Prepare technical specifications and installation documentation.
• Support integration and commissioning of upgraded beam delivery and target production infrastructure.
• Contribute to system testing and acceptance.
• Collaborate with physicists, engineers and technicians to ensure project success.
• Participate in commissioning of upgraded systems.
