The role is a global position headquartered in Switzerland with production sites in Switzerland and China. You will report to the Team Lead ERP & Value Chain in Switzerland and join a skilled IT team to plan, design, implement, maintain, and improve IT processes for material management and logistics. The role involves consulting, planning and executing the transition from the current application landscape to the future system landscape in alignment with transformation projects.
Effective communication skills are required to understand the requirements of internal customers, particularly within the Production, Supply Chain and Logistics organization, and to develop these needs within our material management and logistics processes.
Responsibilities
- Application Owner (AO): Act as the primary IT point of contact for the internal Accelleron Power Users and Business Process Owners regarding Sourcing & Procurement, Supplier Management, Inbound Logistics, Inventory Management, Invoice Verification and Tracking & Tracing of parts.
- Coordinate and implement the application strategy for SAP MM processes in collaboration with the business and Group IS Delivery functions.
- Build deep application‑specific knowledge of Accelleron processes and the application landscape.
- Perform SAP customizing and provide specifications for SAP Developments.
- Manage IT Service Provider relationships.
- Support Power Users to maintain training and knowledge levels, and provide end‑user training when required.
- Drive and support high data quality in collaboration with users to optimize business processes.
- Lead temporary working groups and projects, monitor progress, share knowledge and provide advisory support without direct line‑management responsibility.
- Keep solution documentation updated and ensure end‑to‑end fulfillment of defined business SLAs.
- Manage the application portfolio against the planned budget and forecasting.
- Process Engineer (PE): Identify, propose, consult and support business process improvement initiatives.
- Engage with the business to evaluate opportunities for automation and optimisation of processes.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify potentials enabled by new technologies and applications.
- Advise the business before and during implementation of SAP process improvements.
- Represent Accelleron interests in IS projects in the role of both Application Owner and Process Engineer for the assigned applications and processes.
- Identify trends and technologies that increase process efficiency or enable new business value.
- Support improvement projects in close collaboration with the business.
- Ensure adherence to quality and IT standards, application and infrastructure service strategies, and project governance rules.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Sourcing & Procurement, Supplier Management, Inbound Logistics, Inventory Management, Invoice Verification and Tracking & Tracing of parts processes.
- Experience with Logistics Execution in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to consult, design and improve business processes in a structured and value‑driven manner.
- Consulting and configuration skills in SAP MM, Master Data and Business Partner Management.
- Knowledge of SAP PP, QM, Ariba and SAP FIORI.
- Experience interacting with cross‑functional teams in an international environment.
- Excellent communication and advisory skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify improvement potential and evaluate new technologies.
- Experience in application ownership or process engineering roles within SAP environments.
- Ability to work independently, lead task forces and coordinate diverse stakeholder groups without formal authority.
- Fluent English verbal and written communication; solid German language skills.
