Zusammenfassung

FELFEL Switzerland is seeking an IoT Platform Engineer (100%) in Zurich to own the transition of our hardware fleet into a reliable, streamlined system. You will manage device runtime on fridges and Gavetti controllers, drive fleet consolidation, and shape next-gen hardware with the engineering leadership.

You will work across cloud and edge environments, standardize tools and languages, and partner with vendors to deliver robust, real-world solutions for FELFEL offices in Switzerland and beyond.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience building production systems.
• Strong knowledge of edge platform concerns: Linux/Android on small hardware, networking, observability.
• Proficiency in at least two of C#, Go, or Kotlin.

Aufgaben

• Own device runtime on fridges and Gavetti hardware end to end; manage provisioning, bootstrap, call-home, and on-device apps.
• Drive consolidation of fleet management onto a single platform and defend architectural choices.
• Reduce number of languages used at the edge and align cloud and device environments.
• Spec next-gen hardware with Head of Engineering, select vendors, and define software contracts.
• Manage vendor relationships and integrations with badge reader suppliers.
• Act as reality check for engineering on what runs in the field.
