Zusammenfassung

Open Systems AG in Zurich seeks a System Engineer to help build the secure foundational platform for our fleet of about 10,000 devices. You will work on secure management access, fleet connectivity, and modernising the platform's backbone, enabling safe access, configuration, and operation of the fleet.

You will contribute to automation, observability, and operational tooling, collaborate across security, platform, and operations, and grow towards independent ownership of services in production

Qualifikationen

• Linux systems proficiency with troubleshooting and service management.
• Solid networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, SSH.
• Experience with authentication, authorisation, privileged access, and secure operations.
• Scripting or programming in Python, Go, Bash, Perl, or similar.
• Experience with Git, code review, CI/CD, and automated deployments.
• Hands-on use of agentic AI workflows to accelerate engineering tasks.

Aufgaben

• Design, implement, and operate secure management access for people, services, and automated workflows.
• Build secure, least-privilege access paths to production systems.
• Improve resilience, usability, traceability, and safety of privileged access.
• Collaborate with security, platform, and operations teams to ensure operability under normal and incident conditions.
• Contribute to migration of existing systems to the new access architecture with rollback planning.
• Develop automation, observability, and tooling for fleet-wide safe changes.
