The role as Investment Manager is embedded into the Verve Investment team. You will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating and investing in the best companies in Europe as well as for building thought leadership and relevant networks in your investment topic. As an Investment Manager your main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Deal Sourcing & Pipeline Building - Screen and source the European market for the best tech start-ups
  • Deal Assessment - Conduct due diligences and evaluate and negotiate investments
  • Deal Execution - Lead negotiations with startups and co-investors from Verve Ventures’ side as well as review, negotiate and approve legal documents
  • Portfolio Management & Exit - Actively support portfolio companies on their growth path, represent Verve Ventures’ interest at board level and develop exit strategies
  • Build & Maintain a strong network in the industry - Position and represent Verve Ventures by attending key industry events

Requirements

To be successful in the role we believe that you have:

  • a Master’s degree or PhD ideally in a Technical or Natural Science field
  • 3-5 years of experience as a venture capital investor in a technology related area. This includes conducting investments from sourcing to final execution as well as portfolio responsibility
  • strong analytical thinking, ability to prioritize and manage a large amount of tasks in parallel and thrive in a dynamic environment
  • an entrepreneurial mindset: identifying opportunities, overcoming obstacles and making things happen
  • full written and spoken fluency in English (German and/or French as additional language are a plus)
