You will originate opportunities, shape investment themes, lead transactions through the full lifecycle, and work directly with management teams to drive active ownership and value creation across portfolio companies.

ODM Partners have been retained exclusively to appoint an Investment Director for a long-established international infrastructure investor.

The role sits within a dedicated value-add strategy investing across small and mid-cap infrastructure businesses. The strategy applies a private equity approach to infrastructure investing, with a focus on control and co-control positions, active ownership and clear value-creation potential.

The Investment Director will play a leading role across origination, transaction execution and portfolio ownership. The opportunity offers broad exposure across infrastructure sectors within a relatively lean investment team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, take meaningful responsibility from the outset and have significant autonomy in developing new opportunities, leading transactions and contributing to the continued evolution of the strategy.

Candidate profile

• Currently working within a Private Equity investment firm.
• Experience investing across infrastructure, industrial, business services or other asset-heavy businesses.
• Strong investment judgement, with the ability to assess opportunities independently and form a clear view.
• Demonstrated ownership across transactions and portfolio situations, including the ability to work through complex commercial issues and drive decisions forward.
• Proven experience leading transactions across the investment lifecycle.
• Origination capability, including developing themes, building relationships and generating new investment opportunities.
• Experience working directly with management teams and influencing portfolio outcomes.Management consulting experience is advantageous, particularly where followed by principal investing experience.
• Strong intellectual curiosity, commercial judgement and a practical, hands-on approach.
• Right to work in Switzerland and a genuine commitment to being based in Zurich.
