Job summary

Merck in the Lucerne area is offering a 12-month internship in Process & Support Operations. The role requires full-time presence on site to support manufacturing and integrate with an existing team.

You will assist with GMP manufacturing, data entry, and support across QA-related activities while learning through hands-on experiences in a large multinational pharmaceutical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master's degree in biotechnology, chemical engineering, or related discipline.
• Well-organised, structured and independent way of working.
• Commitment, motivation and creativity.
• Willingness to travel within Switzerland if required.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal German and English skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the local study team in operational management of multinational projects in Switzerland.
• Support administrative tasks and data entry.
• Maintain databases and ensure data quality.
• Learn and follow GMP/EHS standards.
• Assist with Weighing & Dispense, Solution preparation, or Upstream/Downstream operations under supervision.
• Assist with documentation and information for deviations or changes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement tasks and non-GMP test runs.
• Support material handling and gain exposure to SAP.

This is an internship within the Process & Support Operations group at our company in the greater Lucerne area. This position requires full-time physical presence at the site to support manufacturing and to enable optimal integration into an existing team.

As a member of the growing manufacturing team at our company, you will be responsible for supporting various activities related to the implementation and GMP manufacturing of early-phase clinical therapies.

Your responsibilities:
