Job summary

MSD invites applicants for a 12-month internship in Process & Support Operations in the greater Lucerne area. The role requires full-time presence on-site to support manufacturing and integrate with the team, focusing on GMP manufacturing of early-phase therapies.

The program targets graduating or master's students in biotechnology or chemical engineering, with strong German and English skills and proficiency in MS Office. Travel within Switzerland may be required.

Qualifications

• Student of Bachelor/Master’s degree in biotechnology, chemical engineering, or related discipline.
• Well-organised, structured and independent way of working.
• Commitment, motivation and creativity.
• Willgness to travel within Switzerland if required.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal German and English skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the local study team in operational management of multinational projects in Switzerland.
• Supporting administrative tasks
• Data entry and maintenance of databases
• Learn and follow GMP/EHS standards
• Support Weighing & Dispense/Solution preparation or/and Upstream/Downstream operations under supervision, assist with sampling
• Assist with documentation and collecting info for deviations or changes
• Help with continuous improvement tasks and non‑GMP test runs
• Support material handling and gain exposure to SAP
