Job summary

Tecan, a global life sciences company with its headquarters in Männedorf near Zurich, is seeking an Internal Communication Trainee (100%, fixed-term 6 months) to support its Brand and Employee Engagement team. You will help deliver engaging content to our worldwide workforce, collaborate with colleagues across departments and external agencies, and support everyday communications activities.

Qualifications

• University degree (BA or MA) in Communication or Business Administration, or currently pursuing.
• Effective communication with stakeholders across departments and levels.
• Experience with digital publication platforms and editorial processes preferred.
• Excellent command of English; German or other languages a plus.
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
• Previous experience in internal communications, branding or events support is a strong asset.
• Curious, organized, eager to learn, attentive to detail and confident using digital tools, including AI tools for content creation.
• Graphic design, photo/video and Adobe Suite skills are a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Collating, proofreading and checking approvals on communications content.
• Creating and curating branded assets (PowerPoint decks, flyers, visuals).
• Uploading and scheduling publication of intranet, news and other content using Asana.
• Organizing resources and supporting logistics and technical aspects of live video streaming/Teams meetings.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and external agencies for timely project execution.
• Supporting internal communication campaigns through Viva Exchange and other channels.
• Managing SharePoint content, including templates and performance monitoring.
• Coordinating logistics for internal campaigns and events, giveaways, printing and shipping.
