ETH Zurich seeks a creative Interaction Designer to translate complex data into clear visuals and engaging experiences. You will collaborate with engineering to bring ideas to life, with potential 60% to 100% project focus depending on scope.
The role is fixed-term for one year, within the IVIA lab's visualization projects, emphasizing co-adaptive human-AI interfaces and interdisciplinary teamwork.
We are looking for a creative Interaction Designer to craft compelling visual experiences and digital assets. You will be responsible for transforming complex data and concepts into clear, engaging visuals - working closely with our engineering team to bring ideas to life.
The scope of the work could be 60% for one project or with the right candidate and skill set extended to 100% for two projects.
Together with partners from academia and industry, we are working on visualization projects. The main research at the IVIA lab is studying interactive human-AI collaboration interfaces for effective problem-solving and decision-making. In particular, we are interested in empowering humans by teaming them up with AI agents in co-adaptive processes. To support our projects, we are looking for a motivated Interaction Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate brings a structured and hands‑on approach to their work and enjoys working in a small, interdisciplinary team.
This position is offered on a fixed‑term basis for one year.
