Zusammenfassung

ETH Zurich is seeking an experienced Interaction Designer to craft compelling visual experiences and digital assets. You will transform complex data into clear visuals, collaborating closely with engineering to bring ideas to life, on a fixed-term basis for one year.

The role involves creating icons, SVGs, illustrations, and interactive visualizations, with tools like Figma, Penpot, and After Effects. A strong portfolio and English fluency are required, German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Graphic Design or related field.
• Portfolio included; must showcase web design, gamification, animation, interactive visuals.
• Proficiency in Figma, Penpot, and Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects). Affinity Suite a plus.
• Experience creating SVG assets and vector graphics for web.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and basic frontend concepts; Onlook a plus.
• Knowledge of d3.js or other visualization libraries is a strong plus.

Aufgaben

• Design and create digital assets: icons, SVGs, illustrations, logos.
• Develop interactive widgets and visualizations that explain complex content with gamification elements.
• Create mockups, wireframes, and prototypes in Figma, Penpot, or similar tools.
• Design modern, visually appealing web layouts and UI components.
• Produce data visualizations (static, animated, or interactive) using d3.js.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure designs translate into code.
• Contribute to brand identity: logo development, visual guidelines, style systems.
