ETH Zürich seeks an Interaction Designer to transform complex data into clear visuals and engaging visuals. You will work with engineers to turn ideas into tangible UI components and data representations.

The role involves creating icons, SVGs, illustrations, and interactive widgets; producing mockups in Figma or Penpot; and shaping brand visuals across projects. Collaboration and a keen eye for typography are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Graphic Design or related field.
• Portfolio demonstrating web design, gamification, animation, and interactive visuals.
• Proficiency with Figma, Penpot and Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects.

Aufgaben

• Design and create digital assets: icons, SVGs, illustrations, logos.
• Develop interactive widgets and visualizations explaining complex content with storytelling and clear UX flows.
• Create mockups, wireframes, and prototypes in Figma, Penpot, or similar tools.
• Design modern, visually appealing web layouts and UI components.
• Produce data visualizations using tools like d3.js, static, animated or interactive.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure designs translate into code.
• Contribute to brand identity: logos, visual guidelines, style systems.
