Zusammenfassung

Actalent is seeking an Integration Engineer in Switzerland to ensure seamless interoperability between electronics, mechanics, firmware and software in a diagnostic product. You will design electromechanical test setups, run endurance trials, and perform lifetime reliability tests to push the system limits.

The role requires a hands-on engineer with 5 years of HW/SW integration and testing experience, familiarity with Linux, and strong English, with German a plus in a regulated MedTech setting.

Qualifikationen

If you have five years of experience in software-hardware development, within mechanical engineering, and in putting all together in one product, this role is perfect for you.

We are supporting our client, a key player in the life sciences industry, in their search for an Integration Engineer to ensure that complex interactions between electronics, mechanics, firmware, and software, result in a reliable diagnostic product.

Responsibilities:

• Driving system integration and integrity
• Design and arrange advanced electromechanical test setups, long-term endurance trials, and lifetime reliability tests to explore the system's limits under real-world conditions, including SW
• Continuously supervising parameters, tracking hardware counters, and analysing complex data logs, turning it into actionable improvements
• Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis within R&D to support production
• Documentation of performed activities and gained knowledge

Requirements:

• BSc/MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics
• 5 years experience hands-on experience in HW/SW integration, unit- and system-level testing, or mechatronic troubleshooting
• Experience in a regulated environment (MedTech, Diagnostics, IVD, or GxP)
• Deep understanding of mechatronics and its interaction with firmware and software
• Experience in scripting or programming for test execution and automation
• Experience working in a Linux environment
• Fluency in English; German is a great advantage
