addexpert GmbH is seeking a highly skilled HW Integration Engineer to join an innovative hardware integration team for a MedTech client in Rotkreuz. You will drive the integration of mechatronic modules to ensure reliable performance of complex diagnostic systems.

This role covers end-to-end system integration, firmware interaction, advanced testing, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to transfer validated designs to manufacturing and service partners.

Qualifikationen

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in HW/SW integration, unit- and system-level testing, or mechatronic troubleshooting.
• Technical Toolkit: Deep understanding of mechatronics (mechanics-electronics) and firmware/software interaction; scripting/programming for test execution and automation; Linux proficiency.
• Language Skills: Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Regulated Industry Experience: Background in MedTech, Diagnostics, IVD, or GxP environments.
• Mindset & Innovation: Analytical mindset with interest in AI-assisted tools for hardware testing and data analysis.
• German language proficiency is a strong advantage for local collaboration.

In this role, you will operate at the intersection of hardware and software, leading physical and logical integration of mechatronic modules to ensure seamless, reliable performance of complex diagnostic systems.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Driving System Integration & Integrity: Lead the physical and logical integration of hardware and software modules into cohesive, high-performing diagnostic systems.
• Hardware Parametrization & Firmware Interaction: Define critical parameters, configure test software, and parameterize firmware to optimize lifetime reliability and performance.
• Robustness & Endurance Testing: Design and set up advanced electromechanical test setups, long-term endurance trials, and reliability tests (targeting MTBF and MTBRV metrics) under real-world conditions.
• Data Analysis & Insights: Monitor instrument parameters, track hardware counters, and analyze complex data logs to turn observations into actionable design improvements.
• Collaborative Troubleshooting: Perform root-cause analysis on mechatronic issues in collaboration with electronics, mechanics, firmware, and software teams.
• R&D & Operations Transfer: Partner with cross-functional teams to transfer validated mechatronic designs to manufacturing and service partners.
