Are You the team member we are looking for?

Unit8 is seeking an Implementation Strategist to join our growing Data & AI Consulting Practice in Lausanne. This role supports our data scientists, data engineers, and clients with comprehensive data & AI expertise. You will oversee the implementation of data-centric solutions that deliver business value, managing the entire lifecycle from business development to project execution and client relationship management. This position is similar to a Product Owner or Project Manager role.

What You’ll Do

Your responsibilities will evolve based on client and internal needs.

In general, you will:

• Advise clients on becoming data-driven organizations by assessing their data and AI maturity, identifying use cases, and defining impactful implementation roadmaps.
• Engage with clients to understand their data challenges and technical/business questions.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and IT architects to implement impactful data solutions that generate high business value, proactively ensuring delivery commitments.
• Provide guidance on critical enablers like data governance, AI governance, MLOps, and analytics centers of excellence.
• Enhance your technical skills by working with tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Palantir Foundry, and Power BI.
• Support business development by preparing and participating in client meetings, workshops, and industry events.

Requirements

You are

• Possessing 1-3 years of experience in a leading management consultancy at the intersection of business & technology or a similar corporate role.
• Experienced in advising clients on data-related topics such as AI, advanced analytics, data & analytics governance, data platforms, and cloud solutions.
• Familiar with programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL), business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI), and data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake). You understand data systems and architectures.
• Able to quickly identify and prioritize business challenges and propose innovative, relevant solutions during projects or business development activities.
• Skilled in building lasting relationships with clients and team members.
• Holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, computer science, engineering, business, mathematics, or natural sciences.
• Willing to travel across Switzerland (20-50%, depending on projects).
• Proficient in French and English; knowledge of German or other languages is an advantage.
