CERN IT Storage and Data Management group seeks a passionate DevOps Engineer to help store, manage, archive, reconstruct and distribute data for LHC and non-LHC experiments worldwide.

You will integrate data access for AI factories, design storage federation, contribute to the Rucio project, and support operations teams in EU projects and services. Hybrid work arrangement and strong collaboration are expected.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in Python programming and API design.
• Strong Linux system administration and Kubernetes clusters.
• Experience with large-scale data management or cloud environments.
• Familiarity with authentication mechanisms and secure data transfers.
• Ability to work in a team.

Aufgaben

• Connect data to AI factories by building integrations for large datasets.
• Build a storage federation enabling data management platforms to communicate.
• Contribute to open source by committing code to the upstream Rucio project.
• Support the community by maintaining infrastructure and troubleshooting incidents.
