Job summary

Swiss Re is seeking a Senior Digital & Technology Risk Manager focused on AI to shape Group-wide AI risk management. You will develop AI risk policies, standards and independent oversight across the Second Line of Defence.

You will lead risk assessments and governance reviews, translating AI risks into practical guidance for senior stakeholders in a global, hybrid work environment that supports responsible innovation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in operational/technology risk, AI governance or assurance.
• Experience in independent risk assessment and credible challenge.
• Experience developing enterprise policies, standards or methodologies.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies and governance.
• Proven ability to lead risk assessments and communicate conclusions.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently in a global environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the AI risk framework, governance model and control objectives, defining KPIs and KRIs.
• Monitor policy adherence and implementation maturity, driving improvement within the risk framework.
• Lead lifecycle of AI risk policies and standards including governance approvals and reviews.
• Ensure alignment with the Group Operational Risk Management Framework and regulatory expectations.
• Translate emerging AI risks into practical risk management requirements and guidance.
• Provide independent Second Line oversight and challenge of First Line practices.
• Lead thematic reviews and deep dives into AI risk exposures, suggesting improvements.
• Provide expert advice to senior management and governance functions on AI risk exposure.
• Prepare AI risk reporting for senior management and governance committees.
• Anticipate AI risks from evolving tech and adoption patterns, ensuring proportionate oversight.
