Job summary

UN Secretariat in Geneva seeks a Human Rights Officer (statistical data) to advance the indicators framework and coordinate data collection, analysis, and dissemination across partners. The role involves training and providing technical assistance to diverse national and international stakeholders.

You will review literature, ensure methodological consistency, and maintain high-quality statistical reporting in support of the 2030 Agenda and OHCHR frameworks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of analytical or policy research experience in human rights.
• At least 2 years using statistical software (R, Python, STATA).
• Experience with human rights institutions desirable.
• Master’s degree preferred in statistics/economics/human rights fields.

Responsibilities

• Develop guidance, tools, and documentation for human rights indicators aligned with international standards.
• Organize and deliver training, technical assistance, and consultations with partners.
• Review literature and practices in human rights statistics; collect, evaluate, analyze, and disseminate data.
