CERN in Geneva is seeking an electromechanical technical engineer to design and implement high-temperature superconductor (HTS) magnet systems, integrating mechanical, electrical and control disciplines while complying with safety regulations and industry standards.

You will wind and assemble HTS coils, maintain laboratory machinery, prepare procedures and test reports, and coordinate component logistics and testing to ensure traceability and successful project delivery.

Aufgaben

• Design and implement dedicated systems to produce HTS coils, considering mechanical, electrical and control aspects, according to safety regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct regular maintenance of machinery, electromechanical systems and technical infrastructure in the HTS magnet laboratory.
• Prepare technical documentation, including procedures, test and measurement reports, and ensure traceability of components.
• Coordinate component logistics and stock for assigned assemblies; initiate and follow up manufacturing requests and purchase orders.
• Perform or organise acceptance tests for manufactured components and assemblies.
