Job summary

PAVE Space SA in Villeneuve, Switzerland, seeks an HTP Compatibility and Materials Engineer to own the full test campaign for high-test peroxide compatibility. You will plan, write procedures, execute tests, and propose hardware upgrades as you learn what’s missing.

The role focuses on decomposition rate measurements across candidate materials, surface treatments, and coatings, with reports feeding design trade-offs and flight-ready material decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in materials science, chemical engineering, chemistry, aerospace, or mechanical engineering.
• Applied corrosion or material compatibility experience.
• Experience designing and running experiments.
• Experience handling concentrated oxidizers or hazardous chemicals.
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan, write procedures, and execute the full HTP compatibility test campaign.
• Identify upgrades to test hardware as requirements emerge.
• Perform decomposition rate measurements across materials and finishes.
• Evaluate surface treatments, cleaning, passivation, and protective coatings.
• Provide compatibility reports feeding design trade-offs.
• Deliver post-exposure verdicts on material soundness and propellant usability.
