Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Zurich is seeking a Project Manager Site Service GCB to lead on-site commissioning and maintenance activities for GCB and GIS systems.

You will coordinate global service projects, serve as the main contact for customers, and ensure adherence to HSE and quality standards while maintaining thorough project documentation. Ideal candidates bring a technical apprenticeship or HF, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience in project coordination or field

Qualifications

• Completed technical apprenticeship or HF or comparable qualification; a degree is beneficial but not required
• Initial professional experience in project coordination, service, installation, commissioning, engineering, or a related technical environment
• Interest in project management; project management training or certification is an advantage
• Experience with switchgear, power systems, field service, or industrial equipment is beneficial but not required
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Service-oriented mindset and strong communication skills when working with customers and colleagues from different cultural backgrounds
• Business fluent in English and good German skills
• Team player with a proactive and hands-on approach
• Good knowledge of MS Office; SAP experience is an advantage
• Interest in digital tools and using data to support daily business activities

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the execution of on-site commissioning and maintenance activities worldwide
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers throughout project execution
• Collaborate with field service personnel to plan installations and maintenance activities, coordinate resources, and track project progress, costs, and reporting
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards, while proactively identifying and mitigating project risks and supporting corrective actions when needed
• Maintain project documentation, including technical records, test reports, and customer documentation, and support the billing of completed services
