Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd in Baden, Switzerland is seeking a Functional Manager for Control & Protection Engineering. You will lead a team across multiple locations, drive standardization, and ensure delivery excellence within Substation Automation projects.

You will develop people, manage competencies, and influence within a large international organization while maintaining high engineering quality and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English, across written and spoken forms.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of up to 12 Team Leaders across multiple locations.
• Drive harmonization and standardization of engineering processes, tools, guidelines, and ways of working.
• Ensure effective utilization of engineering resources and accountability for quality and performance of services.
• Harmonize hardware and software engineering tools across the Control & Protection Engineering community.
• Lead competency and capacity management to meet current and future project demands.
• Develop and implement standard engineering solutions to strengthen efficiency and competitiveness.
• Define and maintain cost estimation models for Control & Protection Engineering and testing within projects.
• Contribute to the Operating Unit Substation Automation Engineering Management Team and strategic initiatives.
