Head of Valuations

I am currently partnering with a Global Trading / Investment Firm. Who are looking to build a new department and hire a Head of Valuations.

Role and Responsibilities as Head of Valuations:

• Develop Valuations function and eventually manage a team as the function matures.
• Develop valuation practices, including compliance with relevant accounting standards and establishing relevant quantitative thresholds across trading portfolios.
• Contribute to the New Business approval process across valuations. Defining the procedures for the initial pricing, valuation adjustments, observability and reliability of inputs.
• Balance stakeholder needs and expectations and develop a culture of cross-departmental collaboration.

Key Skills and Education

• 10 -15 years’ experience in valuation control or a related function within trading.
• Extensive experience in valuations, product control or a related field, with a proven track record in an influential leadership role.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments and complex trading strategies.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
