Albedis SA in Switzerland seeks an experienced Head of Technology Operations to lead a technical organisation reporting to the CTO. You will combine strong leadership with deep technical expertise to ensure stable, highly available operations while shaping a sustainable technology roadmap.

Qualifications

• Several years of disciplinary leadership experience within Technology Operations, IT Infrastructure, Network Operations or comparable technical environment.
• Experience leading and developing highly skilled technical specialists and people managers.
• Strong technical background across Network, Systems, Data Center, Virtualisation, Cloud, Storage or Infrastructure Operations.
• Experience operating business-critical and highly available technology environments.
• Proven experience developing, professionalising or transforming technology organisations.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and high ownership.
• Ability to connect technology decisions with business requirements and priorities.
• Experience in an international environment, ideally mid-sized growth-oriented organizations.
• Excellent English skills; German would be an advantage.

As part of an exclusive mandate, we are looking for an experienced technology leader to take responsibility for a business-critical technology and infrastructure organisation and actively shape its future development.

Role & Responsibilities

As Head of Technology Operations, you will take responsibility for an experienced technical organisation and report directly to the CTO.

You will combine strong leadership capabilities with sound technical expertise and an entrepreneurial mindset. While ensuring stable and highly available operations, you will continuously develop the organisation, processes and underlying technology infrastructure.

A key part of your role will be setting clear priorities, making decisions autonomously and working with your teams to develop and execute a sustainable technology roadmap.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and empower an experienced technology organisation, including leadership responsibility across multiple levels
• Ensure stable, reliable and highly available technology and infrastructure operations
• Drive the strategic and technological evolution of the existing infrastructure
• Develop and execute a sustainable technology and infrastructure roadmap
• Lead strategic infrastructure, modernisation and transformation initiatives
• Continuously improve organisational structures, processes, standards and responsibilities
• Actively steer business continuity, disaster recovery and operational risk topics
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external technology and service partners
• Assess technological developments and translate future business requirements into sustainable technology solutions
• Work closely with the CTO on technology, organisational and strategic priorities

Candidate Profile

You are an experienced technology leader with a strong technical foundation who thrives in a dynamic and internationally oriented environment.

You take ownership, provide direction and are comfortable making decisions autonomously. At the same time, you have the technical depth required to understand complex infrastructure and architecture topics, challenge decisions constructively and work effectively with experienced technical specialists.

Additionally, you bring:

• Several years of disciplinary leadership experience within Technology Operations, IT Infrastructure, Network Operations or a comparable technical environment
• Experience leading and developing highly skilled technical specialists and ideally other people managers
• Strong technical background across several areas such as Network, Systems, Data Center, Virtualisation, Cloud, Storage, Backup or Infrastructure Operations
• Experience operating business-critical and highly available technology environments
• Proven experience developing, professionalising or transforming technology organisations
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset and a high degree of ownership
• Ability to connect technology decisions with business requirements and priorities
• Experience working in an international environment, ideally combined with exposure to a mid-sized, growth-oriented or dynamic organization
• Valid CH work permit or EU/EFTA citizenship required
• Excellent English skills; German would be an advantage
